G3 Agreement signed to boost the global standardization:
|
|
After collaborative framework for the global standardization proposed by Japan Industrial Imaging Association (JIIA) to Automated Imaging Association (AIA) and European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) in Year 2006 were discussed and agreed by three parties, the signing ceremony for “Cooperation Agreement on Global Coordination of Machine Vision Standardization” called G3 Agreement was held at Vision 2009 Machine Vision Trade Show in Stuttgart German on November 3rd 2009.
The purpose for the agreement is to determine the hosting association that develops the standard to avoid similar and scattered standardizations and share equal rights to other association members for their industry working groups below the hosting association. Recently JIIA as the hosting association has submitted standardization projects such as Lens, IIDC2.0 Camera Protocol, and CoaXPress to the central representatives of the other associations.

Japan Industrial Imaging Association (JIIA) gets the principal association on the CoaXPress Consortium for a development of CoaXPress interface, a promising candidate of next-generation machine vision interface to standardize, and commits involvement in the CoaXPress Consortium to develop the global standard. |

exhibition booth to MV China 2007 (Shanghai)

Two booths are secured for the exhibition
as JIIA in China International Machine Vision Exhibition
2007(2007 中国国際機器視覚展覧会)held in Shanghai China for March
22 through 24. JIIA will display each member from JIIA
and introduce activities in the organization over all,
the steering committee, and the standardization committee
on exhibition. In addition, five member companies (Kirin
Techno-System Corporation,Graphin Co.,Ltd.,CIS Corporation,
Symco Corporation, Micro Technica Co.,Ltd.) wished for
exhibition in the JIIA booth will be there. Please drop
by the booths of JIIA if you have any chance for your
business trip.

A workshop in the
Lens Working Group held in MV China 2007 (Shanghai)
|
|
A workshop will be prepared by
the Lens Working Group in the standardization committee
of JIIA in the exhibition of the China International Machine
Vision Exhibition 2007 (2007 中国国際機器視覚展覧会) during March
22 to 24 . The primary objective for this workshop is
to explain the current status of "standardization
of lens mounting" promoted by the Lens Working Group
and to exchange information with imaging related industries
outside Japan. There are companies related to such industries
in Germany and America announcing yet that they have their
intention to participate in the workshop. The primarily
first step into a concrete and international standardization
will be anticipated for the workshop.

Attended the AIA conference
and addressed about Japanese Market Study
|
|
From JIIA Mr. Shigeo Oka Chairman,
Mr. Fumio Nagumo a Vice Chairman, Mr.Shigeki Masumura
a Director, and Mr. Sachio Kiura a Director of Secretary-general
participated in the 15th conference of AIA (Automated
Imaging Association, Headquarters in Michigan U.S.A.)
sponsorship for January 30 to February 1. On January 1,
North American District (AIA), European district (EMVA),
and Japanese district (JIIA) presented each market trend
for the year 2005-2006 respectively. Mr.Shigeo Oka has
addressed with both originally collected data and a help
from Fuji Economy KK about Japanese Market Study which
includes market scales and its trends by Japan domestic
demands and Japan export demands, and also by products.
It was a great success that his study attracted well audiences
to their interest.

A G3 (JIIA/AIA/EMVA)
Meeting
|
|
Four directors from JIIA attended
at a liaison conference (G3 Meeting) relating to standardization
in the second three parties talks (JIIA/AIA/EMVA) on January
31 during the AIA conference and exchanged ideas and opinions
how international standardization works move ahead and
smoothly. This conference was made in line with the first
G3 Meeting where JIIA proposed at '06 INTERNATIONAL TECHNICAL
EXHIBITION ON IMAGE TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT as a chairman
of the meeting in late December 2006. The third G3 Meeting
will be planned to be in Shanghai on March 21, 2007. Mr.
Shigeo Oka Chairman of JIIA, Tomoaki Kurosawa a Director, Mr.
Iwata a Director, and Mr. Sachio Kiura a Director will
be attending there.
